ACTIVE CARE FOR CHILDREN BOVEC SMUCA 2019

This Sunday, we went with the youngest to the Experience Center under Mangart.

Accompanied by the mountain guide Igor Kremser and the team from the Adventure Center under Mangart - Branet and Danijela, we spent a wonderful day under two of the highest Slovenian mountains (Mangart and Jalovec), full of climbing, ferreting and zip line! We started at 9 a.m. in front of the Alpine School Bovec store and drove together to Log pod Mangart. Under the bridge in the upper part of the most beautiful Slovenian village lies the Experience Center, which has several shorter via ferratas of different levels of difficulty. In addition, there is a small climbing nursery and a 320 meter long zip line.

First, a larger group tackled the initial via ferrata, of course under the leadership of the experienced mountain guide Igor. The initial via ferrata is run lower, so that fear of heights is not an obstacle, but at the same time it is challenging enough to give children a great insight into movement in the mountain world.
Behind them, even younger members of our ski school took their first steps above the ground. As an interesting fact, I should add that the youngest is only 3 years old.
He was not able to do the whole thing, but any movement in the vertical is welcome, as it brings unconscious confidence in his body and equipment.

At the same time, the older ones (on average between 5 and 7 years old) also tried their hand at climbing. In the climbing kindergarten, there are again several routes of varying difficulty, which reach an enviable height for children - a good 10 meters. The experience from last year allowed us to have more children climb all the way to the top!
The more demanding via ferrata, which the children tackled after a short break and snack, is technically quite similar to the initial one, but the only important difference is that it takes place at a height of about 10 meters. Despite the initial hesitation, the larger group went through with it as well. The eldest, Kristijan, also set out with Igor to cross the bridge, which is 15 meters high in the most exposed part! The joy in the eyes after the feat is the most we can expect from our activities anyway.

Finally, Brane and Danijel from the Adventure Center under Mangart prepared another surprise for us - a real Zip line!
In last year's visit to the adventure parks, we already met them, but there they were no longer than 20 meters - but this time there were as many as 320 of them!
The finishing touch to a great experience in an environment that is really worth a visit!
See you on Sunday, when the children and I are going to Krnska jezera.
